Jacoby Brissett started against the Buffalo Bills in New England on Sunday, the last game the team will play without veteran Tom Brady.

Jimmy Garoppolo was inactive for Sunday's game, which puts WR Julian Edelman in line for possible playing time as the backup QB.

Garoppolo sprained the AC joint in his right throwing shoulder on Sept. 18 against the Miami Dolphins and was limited in practice all week. Brissett injured the thumb on his right throwing hand while filling in for Garoppolo on Sept. 22 against the Houston Texans and also practiced on a limited basis this week. Both were listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
