Matusz ejected for foreign substance

For the second time this week, an pitcher has been ejected from a game for using a foreign substance to grip the baseball. Orioles reliever Brian Matusz was tossed in the 12th inning of a 0-0 game Saturday against Miami when Marlins manager Dan Jennings asked home plate umpire Jordan Baker to inspect a foregin substance on Matusz's arm. Baker and crew chief Paul Emmel approached Matusz, who engaged them briefly before Baltimore manager Buck Showalter came out to the mound, at which point the umpires ejected Matusz.  "We sawa substance," Jennings said, via the Baltimore Sun.
