World Series 2018: ' The Show,' 'Out of the Park 2019' sims give Red Sox edge over Dodgers

That's especially the case with the simulation-based "Out of the Park Baseball 19" which already picked this very World Series matchup as the most likely to happen before the postseason began. That is right in line with the betting odds that give the Red Sox the equivalent of a 55 percent chance to win the World Series. After simming the series nearly 100 times in " The Show 19," Boston came out on top 53 percent to L.A.'s 47 percent. Home field advantage played a major role, with the Red Sox winning nearly 90 percent of the simulations in which they jumped out to a 2-0 lead in Fenway Park. The series evaluations from both video games show the Red Sox have the edge, but only by a razor-thin margin. Boston could have slightly more room for error while Los Angeles may need to turn in some standout performances and outstanding plays in big moments to overcome that advantage.
