The agent of Thunder guard Reggie Jackson has asked the team for a trade in advance of Thursday's deadline, Yahoo! Sports reports.

CAA's Aaron Mintz made the request for the star guard a little over a week ago, the report said. Jackson has averaged 12.4 points and 4.2 assists per game this season, despite regularly coming off the bench. He seeks a starting role with another team.

With All-Star MVP Russell Westbrook ahead of him, a starting job will be hard to come by in Oklahoma City, and Jackson is ready to show what he can do with regular playing time.

The Thunder traded for Dion Waiters in January, and Jackson has seen his role diminish since then. The Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat are the teams most heavily linked to Jackson, but no talks have begun as of now.

Reporters asked Jackson about the trade demands, but he had little to say. If Jackson did acknowledge a trade demand, the league could fine him.
