LeBron James and Andrew Wiggins never suited up together for the Cavaliers, the team that selected him No. 1 overall in last year's NBA Draft, but according to Wiggins it was for the best.

“I think it was the best move for me,” Wiggins said during NBA All-Star weekend. “It gave me more room and put me in a position where I could grow up faster. In the league, that’s always what’s best for you.”

Wiggins was part of the blockbuster three-team trade that sent Kevin Love to Cleveland joining James and three-tim

e All-Star Kyrie Irving. But Wiggins appears to be happier with the 11-42 Timberwolves.

“There I would have been more of a role player,” he said. “Here I’m getting more time to shine and do what I was put in this league to do. And I’m enjoying the process.”

The Rising Stars MVP, Wiggins has been averaging 15.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, including a 33-point outburst against James and the Cavs on Jan. 31.
